Feel like an authentic Arctic explorer on this survival course in the Pyhä-Luosto National Park. You'll learn how to cope with the extreme cold and build a quinzee.

Pyhä Survival Course

We'll meet at the indicated time at the Colorado Bar & Grill and venture into the heart of the Pyhä-Luosto National Park to start our arctic survival course. The guide will show us all the essential equipment for an expedition: sleeping bag, mattress, etc.

We'll learn what to wear in the extreme cold and how to cook in cold climates, concluding with a light lunch of bread and sausages.

Next, we will use snow shovels to build a quinzee, the typical Lappish igloo, a method used by hikers to survive Arctic nights.

At the end of the activity, we will return to the starting point, completing the course after 6 hours.
