Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Excursion

We will commence our adventure at 9:30 am, gathering in front of the Peniscola Tourist Office. Our journey to Traiguera will take approximately 30 minutes via minibus or coach.

The first highlight of our trip is a visit to an ancient olive tree farm, where you will gain insights into the meticulous care these trees require and discover the harvesting techniques used, alongside the intricacies of the olive oil production process. Sample some of the region's high-quality olive oil paired with local cold cuts.

After spending an hour at the olive grove, we will proceed to the charming village of Cervera del Maestre. Here, a guided tour awaits, showcasing key historical sites such as the Church of the Assumption, the impressive Baroque bell tower, and the remnants of the medieval market. We will also stop to admire the exterior of the 12th-century castle and visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre.

Next, we will board the bus once again to return to Traiguera for a tour of the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud. During our exploration of this religious site, we will traverse its various chambers, including the historic pilgrims' hostel and the medieval hermitage, while gazing at the stunning frescoes that embellish this remarkable complex.

Our day will conclude at 2 pm, returning you to our initial meeting point in Peniscola.
