Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Excursion

At 9:30 am, we will meet in front of the Peniscola Tourist Office and travel to Traiguera via minibus, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.

Our first stop will be a visit to a thousand-year-old olive tree farm. Here, we will learn about tree care, how olives are harvested, and the olive oil production process, with a tasting of the oil accompanied by local cold meats.

After an hour at the olive grove, we will proceed to Cervera del Maestre for a guided tour of its main monuments, including the Church of the Assumption, the Baroque bell tower, and the old Medieval market. We will also visit the exterior of the 12th-century castle and the Oil Mill Visitor Centre.

We will then return to Traiguera to explore the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, where we will walk through various rooms, including the old pilgrims' hostel and the medieval hermitage, and view the complex's frescoes.

The excursion will conclude at 2 pm back at the starting point in Peniscola.
