Botanical Garden of Quindío Visit
After picking you up at your accommodation at the indicated time, we'll set off for the Quindío Botanical Garden, located an hour and a quarter from Pereira.
We'll enter the main path, which is two kilometres long, guiding us to the most remarkable areas of the garden. Here, we will visit the Butterfly Farm, where we can observe 1,500 butterflies fluttering over nectar-rich flowers.
Continuing along the path, we will find a diverse range of native birds. You can view them up close from the three viewing points in the Botanical Garden, which enhances the natural experience of the Colombian coffee region.
The garden features the National Collection of Colombian Palms. Of the 255 species in Colombia, we will see 210.
During our walk through the Garden, we will also visit the Ethnobotanical Museum of Palms, the Insect Museum, and the Museum of Geology and Soils. Furthermore, we will explore the culture of the region at the Museum of the Crossing of the Andes of Quindio.
The excursion concludes with our return to your hotel after approximately five to six hours of sightseeing.
