Don't leave Pereira without exploring the popular Quindío Botanical Garden. 15 hectares of nature, more than 600 species of plants and the chance to get up close to the native fauna.

After picking you up at your accommodation at the indicated time, we'll set off for the Quindío Botanical Garden, located an hour and a quarter from Pereira.

We'll enter the main 2-kilometre long path, reaching special places in the garden. We will visit the Butterfly Farm, where we can admire 1,500 butterflies amongst nectariferous flowers.

Continuing along the path, we will find a variety of native birds, observable from three viewing points in the Botanical Garden. The garden presents the natural heart of the Colombian coffee region.

The palm is the characteristic tree of the region, and here we will discover the National Collection of Colombian Palms. Out of 255 species in Colombia, 210 can be seen in the garden.

During our walk, we can also visit the Ethnobotanical Museum of Palms, the Insect Museum, and the Museum of Geology and Soils. We will also explore the Museum of the Crossing of the Andes of Quindio.

We will conclude the excursion by returning to your hotel after five or six hours of sightseeing.
