Finca Recuca Visit

On this tour to the Finca Recuca, you will explore how coffee is produced. The visit includes walking through the plantations, participating in the harvest, and learning the art of coffee making through the "coffee rite".

We will pick you up at your hotel in Pereira at the selected time and proceed to the Finca Recuca for the Coffee Culture Tour.

Upon entering the farm, you will become a part of the local culture as muleteers and "chapoleras". Equipped in traditional attire, you will take a 30-minute walk along the Coffee Trail to appreciate the coffee plantations and learn about coffee cultivation. Participate in a coffee picking simulation, experiencing what it's like to be a coffee grower. This includes a mock payment process using a note from a picker's bank.

The tour continues with the post-harvest process, where you will see grain processing at the 'grandparents' mill' and the 'organic mill'.

You will also experience Recuca's unique "coffee rite", learning how to prepare and drink it, concluding with a cup of authentic Recuca Exportación coffee.

The excursion lasts approximately four to five hours, after which you will be returned to your hotel in Pereira.
