La Virginia & El Guásimo Excursion

We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel in Pereira and set off towards La Virginia, located 35 kilometers away.

On the way, we'll stop at the El Guásimo Natural Reserve, occupying 1,400 hectares of the Cauca River Valley. Here, we'll embark on a three-hour walk along the nature trail in the park.

Upon reaching the Cauca River, we'll follow its course for an hour, crossing the lush vegetation of the dry tropical forest, the only forest of its kind in the Andean region, making the park's preservation efforts significant for the 400 hectares of dry Andean forest.

Throughout the park, we will observe the great diversity of flora and fauna. The tour combines sport, nature, and environmental preservation.

A lunch break featuring a regional dish and a drink is included. After lunch, we will proceed to La Virginia, where we'll explore its main attractions and learn about local legends and traditions.

Finally, we will return to Pereira, dropping you off at your hotel around 1:30 pm.
