Santa Isabel Volcano 2-Day Private Hike

Day 1

We will kick off our adventure bright and early at 6 am, when we will collect you from your hotel in Pereira. After a scenic 30-minute drive, we will arrive at the Potosí hacienda, where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast featuring eggs, bread, and a hot drink. Once we have sufficiently energized ourselves, we will leave our bags at the lodge and embark on our hiking expedition.

Our path will lead us to the Laguna Verde sector within the Los Nevados National Natural Park. As we traverse this enchanting landscape, you will encounter unique species of flora and fauna, notably the frailejones. These remarkable plants are distinguished by their dense spiral formation of succulent hairy leaves that culminate in a striking rosette at the top. This segment of our trek will last approximately 3 to 5 hours.

After a fulfilling day on the trails, we will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch that includes soup, rice, meat, and a drink. Take this opportunity to unwind and prepare for the exhilarating hike that awaits the following day.

Day 2

Our early morning journey starts at 2 am with a steaming hot drink and breakfast at the lodge. Once we are prepped and ready, we will board a jeep for a 35-minute drive to the Conejeras sector.

Upon arrival, our hike to the summit of Santa Isabel Volcano will commence. Along the trail, you will encounter areas ideal for summiting the mountain. After approximately four hours of hiking, we will reach the pinnacle.

Weather permitting, we will be greeted with a breathtaking view of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. This restful break allows you to inhale the fresh mountain air and soak in the stunning vistas before we begin our descent back to Conejeras. At around 1 pm, we will return to the Potosí hacienda for a delicious lunch.

Our adventure concludes with a scenic drive back to your hotel in Pereira via jeep. We look forward to sharing more unforgettable experiences in the future!
