We'll meet at 9:30 am at the Marta Barata Studio, Shop and School of Peso da Régua, where our tile painting workshop will take place.
In the 15th century, Arabic influence made the Al-zuleique fashionable in Portugal, becoming a characteristic element of Portuguese architecture. Before we start, we'll view a selection of tiles featuring various representations: figurative, ornamental, and pattern.
After learning about the history of this art form, we will begin painting. Once you have completed your piece, it will be fired in the urn, marking the end of the workshop. If desired, the tiles can be sent to your home.
