Phnom Penh to Siem Reap: 5 Day Tour of Cambodia

Day 1: Phnom Penh - Kompong Cham

After meeting in Phnom Penh, we will drive for an hour through the countryside to board a traditional boat to Silk Island to learn about silk production. After returning to land, we will drive two hours to Kompong Cham for a guided city tour, lunch of local specialties, and visits to Wat Nokor Temple and Phnom Pros Monastery, meeting the resident monks. We will conclude the day visiting the Keung Kok fabric factory before returning to the hotel.

Day 2: Kompong Cham - Kompong Thom

After breakfast, we will embark on a three-hour drive to Kompong Thom. In the city, we will explore the architecture and local stalls, followed by lunch at a restaurant. We will then visit Prasar Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient temples amidst the jungle. We will return to Kompong Thom for the night.

Day 3: Kompong Thom - Siem Reap

We will visit the central market in Kompong Thom before leaving for a three-hour trip to Siem Reap, stopping for lunch and to explore Kompong Kleang village by Tonlé Sap Lake. Arrival at the hotel in Siem Reap is scheduled for the end of the day.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Angkor Archaeological Park

After breakfast, we will explore Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. The tour includes visits to Ta Nei temple and the Angkor Thom site, admiring various significant structures and concluding the day with sunset views over Angkor Wat Temple.

Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Archaeological Park - Siem Reap

We will depart at 4:30 am to visit Angkor Wat for sunrise. Following breakfast, we will continue exploring the archaeological park, visiting Preah Khan temple, Neak Pean, and Ta Som, with lunch near Angkor Wat before allowing free time at the site. The tour ends with our return to Siem Reap.
