Lipica & Skocjan Caves Tour

At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Piran for a 50-minute drive northeast to Lipica, the birthplace of the renowned Lipizzaner horses.

Visit one of the most important stud farms in Slovenia, where you will learn about this iconic horse breed, bred for over 400 years and regarded as a historical and cultural monument. Discover the characteristics of Lipizzaner horses, their significance, and their care in Lipica.

You will also have the opportunity to get up close to the horses, visit the Lipikum Museum, and, if you choose, attend a show featuring these majestic creatures.

After exploring the Lipica stud farm, the tour will proceed to the Skocjan Caves. Visit the impressive caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the karst formations developed over time along the Reka River.

The tour will conclude at 2 pm back at your hotel in Piran.
