Socerb, Hrastovlje & Marezige Day Trip

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Portoroz at 9 am and travel to Socerb, 30 kilometres to the east. After half an hour we'll reach this traditional Slovenian village, where we'll discover some of the most surprising corners. Are you ready?

The tour around Socerb will start by visiting its castle, located in the highest part of the town. Besides enjoying views of the Gulf of Trieste, you'll discover the history that surrounds this place. We'll follow the route by exploring the Holy Cave, the only underground sanctuary in Slovenia.

Then we'll return to the bus and go to Hrastovlje to visit the Church of the Holy Trinity, a 13th century temple surrounded by a large wall and inside which is the famous Dance Macabre fresco.

Finally, we'll go to Marezige, a place to discover Slovenia's wine and olive growing tradition. We'll visit a farm to taste olive oil with typical local snacks.

We'll finish the tour back in Portorož at 5 pm approximately.
