Vargem Grande Reserve Waterfalls Hike

On this hiking tour of the Vargem Grande Reserve waterfalls, we will see the Santa Maria, Lázaro, and Véu de Noiva waterfalls in Goiás.

Description

We will collect you from your hotel in Pirenópolis and head to the northern part of the city, home to the Vargem Grande Ecological Reserve.

We will begin the hiking route around the waterfalls in Vargem Grande. This lower-difficulty trail covers a distance of 3.5 kilometres (2.17 miles), showcasing the local landscape and waterfalls.

The first stop is the Santa Maria Waterfall, where we will hear the sound of water crashing on the rocks. We will then proceed to the Lázaro Waterfall, known for its natural pool suitable for a refreshing dip.

A break will be taken for lunch, so please bring a picnic. After a brief rest, we will continue toward the Véu de Noiva Waterfall, where we will discover the origin of its name.

After visiting the last waterfall, we will return to our starting point where our vehicle will be waiting to bring us back to Pirenópolis, with an expected return time of about 5 hours after the initial pickup.
