Pisciotta Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Via Borgo to begin a guided tour of Pisciotta. Ready to explore a medieval village?
From Piazza Pinto, we will walk into the historic center of this Salerno town until we reach the Palazzo Marchesale, birthplace of the bishop Luigi Pappacoda, a key promoter of the Leccese Baroque style in the 17th century.
Next, we will visit two noble chapels and Pisciotta's Chiesa Madre, dating back to the 16th century, which preserves significant relics and frescoes of the 18th century Naples. Our guide will elaborate on the Cilento uprisings of 1840 and their impact on the town, exploring the line between truth and legend.
In the final segment of the tour, we will visit a local craft workshop where the owner will explain her work, followed by a small tasting of local products.
Finally, attendees will have free time for shopping, concluding this hour-and-a-half walking tour.
