Roccagloriosa Excursion

On this excursion to Roccagloriosa, we will visit a village located north of Monte Bulgheria, known for the legend of the parents of the comedian Totò. The meeting point is at 5 pm on Via Borgo, from where we will depart Pisciotta towards Cilento National Park, situated between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro.

Roccagloriosa is nestled on a hillside, with plenty of scenic views, and we will traverse the northern part of Mount Bulgheria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on our way. You will have the chance to see Mount Bulirla from the bus.

Upon arrival in Roccagloriosa, we will explore its streets, learning its history, which dates back to the 13th century. Our visit to an antique shop and the Civic Museum will reveal even older origins. During the tour, we will view several noble palaces and discuss Totò, whose origin is linked to a secret love affair between his mother, Anna Clemente, and the Marquis De Curtis.

Additionally, we will tour the ruins of the castle of Roccagloriosa and visit some of its churches. The excursion concludes with our return to Pisciotta, where we will drop you off at the starting point at 9 pm.
