Explore the Scottish countryside in a new and exciting way: river bugging in Pitlochry. Sat on your personal raft chair, you will navigate the rapids of the River Tummel.

After meeting at the designated entrance of the Scottish & Southern Power Company in Pitlochry, we will proceed to the banks of the River Tummel. Here, participants will receive a briefing on how to use the "bugs," a hybrid between a raft and an inflatable chair designed for traversing river rapids.

Seated in the river bugs, we will set off down the Tummel, guided by our instructor through the rapids and around obstacles. Experience the stunning rural landscapes of Scotland from a fresh and exhilarating viewpoint!

This river bugging adventure includes calm stretches of water along with thrilling white water falls and exciting rapids—be ready! If you happen to fall off, simply swim downstream until you can reboard the bug!

After two hours of river bugging on the River Tummel, we will return to the shore and participants will be escorted back to the original meeting point.

Children under 15

Participation for children in this activity is regulated as follows:

June to September: Adults and children aged 12 to 15 are welcome from Monday to Friday; only adults are permitted on Saturdays and Sundays.Rest of the year: Adults and children aged 12 to 15 can participate every day.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

During the river bugging session, participants will utilize the provided "bugs" to navigate the rapids under the supervision of a guide. The experience lasts approximately two hours, split between instruction and actual river navigation.
