Cockscomb Jaguar Sanctuary Day Trip

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Placencia and drive to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. The tour begins at the world-famous jaguar sanctuary, a key feline conservation project in the Caribbean, housing over 200 jaguars in their natural habitat.

Following the jaguar visit, a short walk through the reserve will showcase the scenery on the eastern slopes of the Maya Mountains. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in nature before we continue our exploration of the Cockscomb rainforest.

We will then proceed to one of the main waterfalls in the sanctuary, where you will have 30 minutes for a refreshing dip and to admire the scenery. The trip concludes with a return to the starting point, followed by the highway drive back to Placencia, arriving at your hotel by 3:30 pm.
