Cockscomb Jaguar Sanctuary Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Placencia and drive to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. This protected area features the world-famous jaguar sanctuary, which is a principal feline conservation project in the Caribbean, housing over 200 jaguars in a vast jungle habitat.

After visiting the jaguars, we'll take a short walk through the reserve to appreciate the scenery of the eastern slopes of the Maya Mountains. A picnic lunch will be provided in a natural setting.

Post-lunch, we'll continue our walk through the Cockscomb rainforest until we reach one of its main waterfalls. You'll have 30 minutes for a refreshing dip in the waterfall and to enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of our walking route and take the highway back to Placencia, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for 3:30 pm.
