Cockscomb Jaguar Sanctuary Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Placencia and drive to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.

We'll begin our tour by visiting the world-famous jaguar sanctuary, learning about a principal feline conservation project in the Caribbean. This sanctuary houses over 200 jaguars in a vast jungle habitat.

After seeing the jaguars, we'll take a short walk through the reserve to appreciate the scenery on the eastern slopes of the Maya Mountains. A lovely picnic lunch will follow, set amidst nature.

After lunch, we'll continue exploring the Cockscomb rainforest until we reach one of its main waterfalls. You'll have 30 minutes of free time to take a refreshing dip in the waterfall and enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Lastly, we'll return to our walking route's starting point and take the highway back to Placencia, arriving at your hotel by 3:30 pm.
