Dolphin Watching in Puerto Rawson
At the scheduled time, we will meet at Calle Marceloni González and proceed to the pier of Puerto Rawson. From this pier, we will depart on a boat ride to observe local fauna.
The trip begins along the mouth of the Chubut River. If weather conditions allow, we will see single-haired sea lions and spot Atlantic birds such as seagulls and albatrosses. We will also view the yellow fleet of Puerto Rawson.
Next, we will enter the Atlantic Ocean to watch the Patagonian dolphins, also known as Commerson's dolphins, characterized by their distinctive whitish-black color. Additional interesting facts about these mammals will be shared during the cruise.
After about an hour of sailing, we will return to the dock of Puerto Rawson, where you can enjoy lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
Finally, after approximately 4 to 4.5 hours, we will conclude the activity.
Dolphin watching
The coast of Puerto Rawson, adjacent to the mouth of the Chubut River, is among the prime locations in Argentina to observe Patagonian dolphins. However, animal sightings can be unpredictable, influenced by weather conditions and the breeding seasons of various species.
