On this excursion to Puerto Rawson from Trelew, you will enjoy a boat ride to see Patagonian dolphins.
Dolphin Watching in Puerto Rawson
At the scheduled time, we will meet at Calle Marceloni González and proceed to the pier of Puerto Rawson, from where we will depart on a boat ride to spot local wildlife.
The trip will begin along the mouth of the Chubut River. If weather conditions permit, we may see single-haired sea lions and various Atlantic birds, including seagulls and albatrosses. We will also view the yellow fleet of Puerto Rawson.
Subsequently, we will enter the Atlantic Ocean waters to observe Patagonian dolphins, also known as Commerson's dolphins, which have a distinctive whitish-black coloration. During the cruise, additional information about these mammals will be shared.
After approximately an hour of sailing, the boat ride will conclude at the dock of Puerto Rawson, where you will have time to enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant.
The activity will last between 4 and 4.5 hours.
Dolphin watching
The coast of Puerto Rawson, adjacent to the Chubut River's mouth, is among the best locations in Argentina to see Patagonian dolphins. However, sightings can vary due to factors such as weather and the breeding seasons of different species.
