If you love nature, you can't miss this tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the biggest in all of Croatia. You'll love getting to know its 16 lakes with crystal-clear water and waterfalls!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Once we've arrived, we'll begin the tour around the "water paradise".
We'll first hop on a shuttle bus or train to one of the tallest points in the park, where we'll enjoy scenic views of the 30,000 hectares that make up this area, including 16 lakes and numerous streams and waterfalls.
After taking photos, we'll begin our descent towards the lakes. During our approximately 4 to 8-kilometre (2.5 to 4.97-mile) hike, we'll see the lakes' colours transform, from emerald to turquoise. Look out for the park's largest waterfall, with a drop of 76 metres (249 feet)!
The hike will first take us to the lower lakes, where the four main lakes are located. After exploring this area, we'll head to the upper lakes, home to the most scientifically important lakes and their biodynamic ecosystem.
Our hike will conclude at the port, where we'll board a boat for a 15-minute ride. The great waterfall and trees create a picturesque scene.
Once the boat ride ends, so will our tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, after a total of 4 hours.
