Tour Details

After meeting at the appointed time in front of the Ramada Hotel, we will explore the old town of Plovdiv. Our first stop will be the ruins of the Roman Stadium of Philippopolis and the Roman Theater, where we will discuss the 1st and 2nd centuries and the periods of Domitian and Hadrian.

We will then visit the medieval Hisar Kapia Gate, followed by the Muslim temple of Puldin and the houses of Lamartine and Klianti, notable examples of the Bulgarian Renaissance.
