The first stop of the day is the Lipa Cave (duration of the drive between 45 min to 2 hours, depending on the place or city of departure).
On arrival to the cave, hop on the tourist train which will take from the parking to the entrance into the cave (800 meters) where you will enjoy 40 minutes guided tour. Lipa cave, which is on the list of top 10 attractions in Montenegro, is located only sixty kilometers from the cities of Boka Kotorska and five kilometers from Cetinje – the Old Royal capital of Montenegro. It is the first cave attraction in Montenegro that offers a charming variety of karst features to provide visitors with a unique experience of the underground world. The wild beauty of this cave leaves a lasting impression and makes the visit unforgettable.
Continue towards Lovćen (1-hour drive), the symbol of Montenegro and its freedom. The mountain is located at 1749 m above sea level, and in 1952, it was declared a national park. On one of the peaks of Lovćen, Jezerski vrh – 1675 m above sea level, there is a Mausoleum, dedicated to Petar II Petrović Njegoš bishop, ruler, thinker and poet, one of the most important figures of Montenegrin history. Lovćen is special in many ways. It is rightly said that Lovćen is a natural treasure of Montenegro. Visit the mausoleum and be ready to climb the 451 steps to the top of it (1 hour approx.).
Back on the road, drive towards Njeguši (1-hour drive) where you will enjoy a food tasting in the village of Njeguši, in the oldest tavern of this type in Montenegro, which opened in 1881 (1 hour approx.).
Cetinje is the next stop of the day. Cetinje is located 60 minutes away from Njeguši and it is considered a small museum city with beautiful monuments, promenades and nature, situated under the huge mountain Lovćen. Cetinje, also known as the Old Royal Capital, is the former capital of Montenegro. It was founded in the 15th century and became the center of Montenegrin life and its culture. This small city, enriched with the greenery and architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries will surely draw your attention at first glance, through a rare combination of nature and culture, museums, art faculties, parks, promenades.
Enjoy a 60 minutes panoramic tour of the city and pass by Cetinje Monastery, Ćipuri Church, the former Njegoš’s residence – Biljarda, King Nikola’s Museum, the Presidential Palace, the Royal Theater “the Royal Theater “Zeta house”, the monument of Ivan Crnojević, Zeta ruler and founder of Cetinje.
Have lunch at a local restaurant (not included) before returning back to the meeting point.
