Zeta Plain Wine Tour
Having been picked up from your hotel at 10 am, you'll leave Podgorica and begin your tour of the Zeta Plain. This lowland area stretches from the Montenegrin capital in the north to Lake Skadar in the south.
After a 20 minute drive, you'll reach the Lake Skadar National Park, a nature reserve with 281 species of birds and 50 types of mammals. From the Pavlova Strana viewpoint, you'll enjoy views over the fjord-like scenery.
This region is known for producing the best wine in Montenegro. You'll visit the Sofranac Winery to learn about the local production of brandy and liqueurs. You'll have the opportunity to taste 6 types of wines, 9 types of liquor, and 6 types of brandy, accompanied by a typical Montenegrin lunch called meza.
After the winery, you'll proceed to Barutana, highlighting the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the First and Second World Wars. By 2 pm, you'll return to your hotel in Podgorica, having had half an hour to explore the town's historic areas, including Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjskog.
