Zeta Plain Wine Tour
Having been picked up from your hotel at 10 am, you'll leave Podgorica to begin your tour of the Zeta Plain. This lowland area stretches from the Montenegrin capital in the north to Lake Skadar in the south.
After a 20-minute drive, you'll arrive at the Lake Skadar National Park, a biodiversity reserve with 281 bird species and 50 mammal types, along with the lake itself. From the Pavlova Strana viewpoint, you'll enjoy stunning views of the fjord-like scenery.
The Zeta Plain is also known for its wine production. You will visit the Sofranac Winery to learn about the traditional production of brandy and liqueurs. During the visit, you can partake in a tasting of 6 wines, 9 liquors, and 6 brandies, accompanied by a typical Montenegrin lunch called meza.
Your next stop will be at Barutana, where you will see the Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the First and Second World Wars. After this, you will return to Podgorica, where you will have half an hour to explore the city's historic streets, including a walk down Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjskog, to learn about the city's Communist past.
At 2 pm, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in Podgorica.
