Description
At the scheduled time, we'll begin this private tour of Poitiers at the entrance to the Notre-Dame la Grande Church.
After admiring the church, a significant example of Romanesque art, we'll enter Poitier's historic centre. During the tour, we'll uncover stories related to the Templars, Joan of Arc, and other notable figures related to the history of medieval France.
We'll stop at iconic locations such as Place du Maréchal-Leclerc, where we'll view the façade of the Poitiers City Hall. The tour continues in front of St. Peter's Cathedral, where we will observe its main architectural details typical of the Angevin Gothic style.
As we walk around the old town, we'll also learn about the first University of Poitiers and explore significant events in Poitier's history.
Finally, after a 1.5-hour tour, we will conclude at the Church of Sainte-Radegonde.
