Annapurna Base Camp Trek: 6 Days from Pokhara
Day 1: Pokhara - Siwai - Chhomrong
On day one, you will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara and driven to Siwai village. After approximately a two-hour drive, the trekking will commence towards Chhomrong, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Chhomrong - Sinuwa - Himalaya
The second day begins with views of the mountains. After breakfast, follow a trail of stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola River. Cross via a suspension bridge and ascend to Sinuwa to rest and enjoy the views, before continuing through a bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forest towards Himalaya.
Day 3: Himalaya - Machapuchare - Annapurna
This day features visits to two base camps. Start with a four-hour hike to Machapuchare base camp at 3700 meters. Then, continue to Annapurna base camp at 4130 meters, the highest point of the trek.
Day 4: Annapurna - Sinuwa
On the fourth day, enjoy breakfast at Annapurna base camp with views of the south face of Annapurna. Then trek back towards Sinuwa, passing yak farms, forests, and valleys.
Day 5: Sinuwa - Siwai - Pokhara
On day five, retrace your steps to Chhomrong, detouring to visit the Jhinu Danda hot springs for a rest. Continue to Siwai for a bus back to Pokhara, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 6: Pokhara - Kathmandu
On the final day, you will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara and driven to Kathmandu, a journey of approximately six to eight hours.
