On this excursion to the coffee plantations in Sarangkot starting from Pokhara, you will have the opportunity to interact with local farmers who will unveil the art of organic coffee cultivation as we explore the village.

Sarangkot Day Excursion

We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation in Pokhara at the arranged time, initiating our adventure toward the coffee fields of Sarangkot. Prepare to discover some of Nepal's finest plantations!

Our journey kicks off at Lakeside, where you can take a leisurely walk along Phewa Lake's shores. This peaceful stroll allows us to observe local fishermen going about their tasks in this scenic lagoon, all while enjoying the stunning vistas of the adjacent rice terraces.

A two-hour uphill hike will lead us to a friendly village, home to a dynamic community of coffee cultivators. Here, we will wander through the village and visit nearby coffee plantations by foot. We will also get a chance to stop by a local apiary, where you can indulge in the delicious honey produced right there!

Continuing our journey, we will engage with local women's cooperatives renowned for their sustainable handicrafts. Listen to their inspiring stories and explore their shop, where you can find beautiful handcrafted souvenirs.

Next, we'll dive deep into the coffee plantations to discover the techniques for nurturing top-notch coffee. Depending on the time of year, there’s a possibility to see the arabica coffee blossoms or observe local farmers involved in the planting or harvesting processes.

We will also visit the coffee processing facility in Khadkathar, giving you an exclusive look at the various stages involved in processing coffee seeds. Prepare to see live demonstrations of essential steps such as hulling, sorting, and drying.

To conclude our enriching day, you will enjoy a traditional lunch right on the farm.

After a memorable experience, we will return to Pokhara, dropping you off at your hotel approximately 5.5 hours later.
