Herculaneum Ruins Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel or selected meeting point at the indicated time and set off for the archaeological site of Herculaneum, one of the three Roman cities buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. During the visit, we will explore the cobblestone streets, houses, and thermal complexes that survived the pyroclastic flow. The site even includes a gymnasium.

As you admire the well-preserved materials and facades of the buildings, we will discuss the artistic styles and construction techniques of the time. We will visit emblematic monuments such as the Hall of the Augustals, the baths, the House of Aristides and Neptune, the Samnite House, and the beach where over 300 people perished.

At the end, you will have free time to rest or eat before concluding the activity and returning to the starting point after 2 hours of hiking.
