Pompeii Tour + Horseback Ride with Wine Tasting

Description

Let's meet near the entrance of the Pompeii Archeological Park to begin our guided tour. For the next 2 hours, we'll explore the remains of this ancient Roman city, which was destroyed by the historic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.

After our tour of Pompeii, we'll hop in a minibus and travel for 25 minutes to an Equestrian Center on the slopes of Vesuvius. There, we'll prepare for a horseback ride with a brief introduction.

Once comfortable, we'll begin our riding tour along volcanic slopes at an altitude of between 400 and 500 meters above sea level (1312 to 1640 feet). We'll enjoy an hour's ride, admiring the panoramic views and the volcanic landscape around us.

After our ride, we'll return to the minibus and head to a winery in Vesuvius National Park. There, a lunch will be provided, including a tasting of five wines. The meal consists of a starter of cold meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, and Neapolitan cake; a main course of pasta allo scarpariello or meatballs with sauce; and a Neapolitan pastiera for dessert.

After the meal, we'll return to the meeting point after a total of 7 hours.
