Pompeii Tour + Horseback Ride with Wine Tasting

Discover the magic of Pompeii and Vesuvius on a guided tour that combines history, nature, gastronomy, and horseback riding.

Description

We'll meet near the entrance of the Pompeii Archeological Park to begin our guided tour. For 2 hours, we will explore the remains of this ancient Roman city, destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.

After the tour of Pompeii, we will board a minibus for a 25-minute ride to an Equestrian Center on the slopes of Vesuvius. There, we will prepare for a horseback ride with a brief introduction.

Once ready, we will begin our riding tour along volcanic slopes, at an altitude of between 400 and 500 meters above sea level (1312 to 1640 feet). This hour-long ride will offer impressive panoramic views and showcase the volcanic landscape.

After the ride, we will return to the minibus and head to a winery in Vesuvius National Park, where a delicious lunch will be served, accompanied by a tasting of five wines. The meal includes a starter of cold meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, and Neapolitan cake; a main course of pasta allo scarpariello or meatballs with sauce; and a Neapolitan pastiera for dessert.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point after a total of 7 hours.
