Furnas Day Trip + Gorreana Tea Plantations

Description

We'll meet on Avenida João Bosco Mota Amaral in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel's capital, and set off along the island's southern coastline. Our first stop will be in the coastal town of Vila Franca do Campo, where we can admire the Islet of Vila Franco do Campo situated just off the coast.

Our route will continue inland, characterized by volcanic landscapes. We will visit the calderas and lagoon of Furnas, gaining insights into the area's volcanic vents.

After expanding our knowledge, we will enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will travel to the north of the island to explore the Gorreana tea plantations, one of the Azores Islands' renowned tea producers. There, we will sample some of their celebrated teas to appreciate their aromas and flavors. Finally, we will return to Ponta Delgada.
