Ponta Delgada Sightseeing Tour

At the agreed time, we'll meet at João Bosco Mota Amaral Avenue in Ponta Delgada and embark on a sightseeing tour of the capital of Sao Miguel Island on an open-top minibus.

We'll first head to the Portas da Cidade, one of the most iconic landmarks in Ponta Delgada. After learning about these arches, we'll move on to the neighborhood of Sao Roque to admire the facade of the church and make a brief stop at the volcanic beach of Milicias for photos.

Our next stop will be the Fort of Sao Caetano do Populo, linked to the 18th century War of the Spanish Succession. After learning about this connection, we will head to the old town to admire the church of Sao Sebastiao.

We will continue exploring the port area of Ponta Delgada, stopping to admire fort of Sao Bras and the church of Senhor Santo Cristo, one of the most visited temples in the Azores.

The tour will conclude at the Padre Sena Freitas garden, where we will provide information about its namesake. After a 45-55 minute tour, we will return to the meeting point.
