Tour of the Western Coast



Choosing this route begins with a visit to the stunning Vista do Rei viewpoint, offering some of the finest vistas of the Sete Cidades crater and the picturesque Azul and Verde lakes. Following this, we will descend towards the Mata do Canário Natural Park, known for its numerous small lakes.



Our next destination will be the town of Lagoa for a meal at a local eatery. After lunch, we continue to the town of Ribeira Grande, where we will explore its historic center characterized by 17th-century architecture.



Our journey concludes at Pico da Barrosa, where we can take in breathtaking sights of Lagoa do Fogo.

Northeastern Tour of São Miguel



This excursion will take us to the northeastern part of the island, recognized as the oldest geological region, rich in forests, mountains, waterfalls, and scenic lookouts with magnificent views of the coastline.



Throughout the day, we will immerse ourselves in these enchanting natural surroundings and visit several charming villages. Additionally, the tour will include stops at local artisan shops to learn about the island's traditional crafts.



Midday, we will enjoy lunch in Achadinha before we continue to the village of Povoação, the site where the island's first settlers arrived.

Tour of Southern São Miguel



We will commence this tour by heading to the southern region of the island, specifically to the Furnas Valley. On our way, we will visit the village of Lagoa to appreciate its exquisite ceramic crafts. Next, we will explore Vila Franca do Campo, the island's historical capital.



Reaching Furnas, you will savor a delightful traditional dish known as cozido na Caldeira, which is intriguingly cooked using the heat from the volcanic soil. After this appetizing meal, we will visit the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for a magnificent panoramic overview of the valley.
