When making your reservation for the private tour of São Miguel, you'll be able to choose from three different options. All of them start at 9 am at your hotel and include lunch and an English-speaking guide just for you. They all will end back at your accommodation around 5 pm.

West Coast Tour

This option begins at the Vista do Rei viewpoint for views of the Sete Cidades crater and the Azul and Verde lakes. Next, we'll visit the Mata do Canário Natural Park, known for its small lakes. The journey continues with lunch in Lagoa and a visit to the historic center of Ribeira Grande, featuring 17th-century buildings. The tour concludes at Pico da Barrosa for views of Lagoa do Fogo.

Northeastern São Miguel tour

This tour explores the northeast, the oldest geological area with forests, mountains, waterfalls, and viewpoints. It includes visits to small villages and local handicraft stores to see traditional techniques. Lunchtime will be in Achadinha, followed by a visit to Povoação, where the first settlers arrived.

Southern São Miguel tour

This tour travels to the south side towards the Furnas Valley. A stop in Lagoa showcases its ceramic handicrafts. In Vila Franca do Campo, the former island capital, the tour will continue to Furnas for a traditional lunch called cozido na Caldeira, cooked in volcanic soil. After lunch, we will visit the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for panoramic views.
