Activity Details

At the designated time, we will meet at Marina Pêro de Teive and board a speedboat to set sail along the south coast of the island in search of dolphins.

During the journey, a guide specialized in the wildlife of the Azores will explain the habits of the whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals in this region of the Atlantic Ocean. Participants will learn about their way of life and have the opportunity to see them swim close to the boat.

The tour will reveal how marine mammals in São Miguel navigate ocean currents at this latitude to travel across the Atlantic, often swimming alongside others of their species. After the experience of observing these animals, the boat will return to the port of Ponta Delgada.
