Whale Watching + Vila Franca Islet Excursion

We'll meet at the designated time at the Ponta Delgada seaport, where we'll board a boat for a three-hour trip to watch Atlantic whales and dolphins.

Ponta Delgada has many years of experience in protecting marine wildlife. During the trip, the guide will explain the significance of this work and provide interesting facts about the species observed, including dolphins and whales.

Afterwards, we'll return to Ponta Delgada for a transfer to Vila Franca do Campo, where we'll have lunch at a local restaurant. The menu includes a starter, a fish dish, dessert, and coffee or tea.

Post-lunch, we'll continue our boat trip exploring the islet of the Azores, which contains a nature reserve and a volcanic crater, known as the Princess Ring.

We'll also have the opportunity to observe seabirds nesting on its shores, leading to the inclusion of Vila Franca in the list of Important Bird Areas by BirdLife International.

Finally, we'll return to the port of Ponta Delgada, concluding the excursion after a total of 7.5 hours.
