Whale Watching + Vila Franca Islet Excursion

We'll meet at the designated time at the Ponta Delgada seaport, where we'll board a boat to the sea. Prepare for three hours of watching the Atlantic whales and dolphins.

Ponta Delgada has years of experience in protecting marine wildlife. During the boat trip, the guide will explain the importance of this work and provide interesting facts about the species we might see. Observers can expect to see dolphins and whales.

Afterward, we'll return to the port of Ponta Delgada for a transfer to Vila Franca do Campo, where lunch is included at a local restaurant. The menu features a starter, a fish dish, dessert, and coffee or tea.

Following lunch, we'll continue our boat trip to explore the islet of Vila Franca, which contains a nature reserve and a volcanic crater. This island is known as the Princess Ring.

We will also have the chance to observe the seabirds nesting on its shores, contributing to its designation as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International.

Finally, we'll return to the port of Ponta Delgada, concluding the excursion after a total of 7.5 hours.
