Pontevedra Tour + Vigo Christmas Lights

In this tour of Pontevedra, we'll discover its historic centre and travel by boat to see the Christmas lights of Vigo.

Tour Details

After meeting at the indicated time, we'll start a tour around Pontevedra, a city that has received numerous international awards. We will begin with a guided tour of the old town of Pontevedra, passing through the cobbled streets of the Plazas de La Verdura, La Leña, La Herrería, and La Peregrina. We'll also walk part of the Portuguese way of the Camino de Santiago and visit main monuments, including the Iglesia de Santa María church, Convent of San Francisco, and Capilla de la Peregrina chapel, noted for its scallop shell-shaped floor.

After the tour of Pontevedra, we will travel to Moaña, a fishing village in the Ría de Vigo. There, we will take a boat to Vigo, seeing the Cíes Islands and the village of Cangas during the ride.

Upon arrival in Vigo, we will explore its historic centre. We will walk to Calle Príncipe, where you will have 4 hours of free time to enjoy the Christmas lights of Vigo, including trees, giant baubles, recreations of Lapland, and Christmas markets. Afterward, we will meet at the port of Vigo to return by boat, followed by transport from Moaña to Pontevedra or Santiago de Compostela. Arrival is scheduled between 8 and 9 hours later.
