Join us on this Pontevedra excursion, where we will explore its charming historic center and embark on a boat ride to enjoy the enchanting Christmas lights of Vigo, ensuring a truly magical adventure!

Tour Overview

Our journey begins when we gather at the specified meeting point at the designated time. This exploration of Pontevedra, a city renowned for its numerous international accolades in recent years, will unveil its rich history and culture!

The guided visit will kick off in the old town of Pontevedra, as we meander through the picturesque cobblestone streets of the Plazas de La Verdura, La Leña, La Herrería, and La Peregrina. Additionally, we’ll follow part of the Portuguese route of the Camino de Santiago. Along this path, we will pause at significant landmarks including the Iglesia de Santa María, the Convent of San Francisco, and the Capilla de la Peregrina. An interesting fact about the latter is its unique scallop shell-shaped floor.

Upon concluding the walking tour, we will proceed to Moaña, a quaint fishing village located in the Ría de Vigo. From here, we will board a boat heading to Vigo, during which we’ll be treated to views of the stunning Cíes Islands and the scenic village of Cangas.

Once we reach Vigo's historic center, we will delve into the vibrant streets that emerged from its maritime heritage. A stroll down Calle Príncipe will grant you a generous 4 hours of free time to explore and enjoy the Christmas lights of Vigo, featuring breathtaking displays such as festive trees, massive decorations, enchanting Lapland scenes, and charming Christmas markets. Embrace the festive spirit in Vigo!

At the end of our time in Vigo, we will reconvene at the port to catch the return boat, followed by transportation from Moaña back to either Pontevedra or Santiago de Compostela. We expect to arrive approximately 8 to 9 hours later.
