Day Trip to the San Agustin Archaeological Park

Pickup will be at your hotel in Popayán at the designated time. After a 2.5-hour drive in an off-roading vehicle, we'll stop in the town of Isnos for a traditional-style breakfast before continuing to the Archaeological Park of San Agustin.

Upon arrival, we'll take a comprehensive tour of the archaeological site, exploring the secrets of pre-Columbian civilizations. The Archaeological Park of San Agustin is a World Heritage Site.

During the tour, we will view over 500 statues carved in volcanic stone, located in the upper basin of the Magdalena River, making it the largest megalithic complex and the largest necropolis on the continent.

After a 4-hour guided tour, we will dine at a restaurant, where we will enjoy a meal including a main course with rice, soup, or salad. We will then return to Popayan.

The excursion will conclude at your hotel after a total of 15 hours.
