Silvia Tour + Visit to a Misak Community

We will pick you up at 9:30 am at your hotel in Popayán and drive to the north of Cauca department. After an hour and a half, we will arrive in Silvia, a town in the valley of the Cordillera Central of Colombia. You will explore the main attractions of Silvia, including the welcome sign, the Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá parish church, and the market.

At midday, a break will be provided for a typical lunch that includes a fish or meat dish, a side, and a drink. We will then depart for Guambia, the region with Colombia's largest indigenous population.

In Guambia, we will visit a Misak or Guambiana community, meeting the inhabitants and learning about their customs and traditional way of life. You will have the opportunity to visit their sacred sites and experience their traditional clothing.

The final stop will be Miskitu university, where we will learn about the sustainable development and arts programs offered by the institution.

We will return to Popayán, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 5 pm.
