Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

We will follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary leader on his crusade through Bolivia on this 3-day tour along the Che Guevara route. You will see places like La Higuera.

Che Guevara route 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata - Vallegrande

At 6:00 am we will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra to start our 3-day tour along the Che Guevara route. We’ll follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary leader and his Bolivian National Liberation Army (ELN).

First, we’ll head to Samaipata, where the ELN was briefly located. We’ll visit the Fort of Samaipata, an important archaeological site in Bolivia, observe the sculpted figures, and explore a museum with excavation artefacts. Afterward, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the washing place at Nuestro Señor de Malta, where Che’s body was displayed, as well as the monument and museum honoring him. Dinner and overnight accommodation will follow.

Day 2: Vallegrande - Pucara - La Higuera

At 7:00 am, we’ll have breakfast and leave for La Higuera, where Che was captured. We will travel the Che route and stop at Pucara, referenced in Che’s Diary. In La Higuera, we’ll visit the school where Che was imprisoned and executed on October 9, 1968. After lunch, we’ll return to Vallegrande.

Day 3: Vallegrande - Santa Cruz

On the final day, after breakfast, we’ll return to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, crossing cactus deserts, arriving at your hotel around 4:00 pm.

Tour ending in Sucre

If you wish to continue the tour to Sucre, the first two days remain the same, but you will stay overnight in Villa Serrano. On the third day, after breakfast at 8:00 am, we will head to Sucre, with a stop in Tomina to see its 18th-century church, arriving around 2:00 pm.
