Samaipata 2 Day Trip

Day 1: Santa Cruz - Samaipata

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and set off west towards Samaipata. Along the way, enjoy views of the rugged Bolivian plains and small villages. Before reaching our destination, we will stop at Cuevas, known for its waterfalls, where you will have lunch on your own. Afterwards, we’ll continue to Fort Samaipata, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. This archaeological complex features buildings carved in stone and has been inhabited by three different civilizations. After the tour, we will spend the night in the town of Samaipata.

Day 2: Samaipata - Santa Cruz

After breakfast, we'll explore Samaipata, a town founded by Spanish settlers in 1618. Learn about its history, including its role in Che Guevara's guerilla campaign. Our next stop is the Archaeological Museum of Samaipata, which houses ceramics, statuettes, and other artifacts from the fort excavations. After two memorable days, we will return to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, dropping you back at your hotel around 6 pm.
