2-Day Private Tour of San José de Chiquitos & Chochís

Day 1

Your adventure begins at 8 am, as we collect you from your accommodation in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and travel towards San José de Chiquitos.

Located in eastern Bolivia, this town stands out as a significant missionary settlement established by Jesuits in the 17th century. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided exploration of the area, including a visit to a local craft workshop to witness traditional handicraft production.

By 12:30 pm, we will take a break for a traditional Chiquitano meal that features both a starter and a main dish. Following lunch, we'll visit the Mission Church of San José along with its museum, showcasing remarkable examples of Hispanic ecclesiastical architecture.

Our day concludes with a stroll through Santa Cruz la Vieja Park, where remnants of the city's initial establishment can be observed.

Day 2

Awaken to a delightful breakfast at 7:30 am before we drive through the scenic landscapes of the Chiquitania region towards Chochís.

This picturesque town is a designated Bolivian Cultural and Natural Heritage site. On arrival, we will visit the Mariano de la Torre Sanctuary. This charming chapel, situated at the base of Cerro Chochís mountain, seamlessly blends into its breathtaking surroundings, creating a picturesque scene that appears as if the temple is part of the rock.

After absorbing the local culture, we will visit Los Hervores Spa, where you will enjoy 2 hours of leisure time to soak in the thermal springs. Lunch will follow in the village of Roboré.

Finally, we will embark on our journey back to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with a planned return to your hotel around 10 pm.
