San José, Santiago de Chiquitos & Chochís 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Santa Cruz - San José

At 7 am, hotel pickup in Santa Cruz de la Sierra will commence our journey to Chiquitania. After a 3-hour drive, we’ll arrive at San José de Chiquitos, a historic Jesuit missionary settlement from the 17th century.

We’ll explore the Mission Church of San José, the only one in the region with a stone façade. Lunch will be at 12 pm at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to El Telar for a demonstration of Chiquitano weavings. Craftswomen will prepare charcoal tea traditionally. A panoramic viewpoint visit will follow, where you can enjoy coffee and watch the making of Chiquitano rice bread. Dinner is at 8 pm.

Day 2: San José - Santiago de Chiquitos - Robore

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Santiago de Chiquitos to visit its missionary church. A hike in the Tucabaca Valley will precede lunch, after which we’ll travel to Robore for free time at the hot springs or to enjoy massage and face mask services. Dinner will be in Santiago before overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Chochís - Santa Cruz

At 8:30 am, we depart for Chochís. Here, we’ll visit the Mariano de la Torre sanctuary, located by the Torre del Portón monument. Our return journey to Santa Cruz will include a lunch stop at the Brasileiro restaurant, arriving back at your hotel by 6 pm.
