Santa Cruz de la Sierra Museum Tour
The journey begins at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel, initiating a fascinating tour of the city's prominent museums. Each venue we visit will provide insights into Bolivian art, history, and cultural practices.
Our first stop will be the Museum of Sacred Art, found within the Metropolitan Cathedral. Here, we can admire exquisite silver artifacts from the 17th and 18th centuries, in addition to a collection of portraits, jewelry, and liturgical items.
Next, we will visit the Melchor Pinto Museum, an art gallery that was once the home of an influential activist and now showcases his personal archives. Our path will then lead us to the Independence Museum, where we will delve into a pivotal chapter of Bolivia's past.
Following that, we'll explore the El Altillo Museum, which focuses on the region's architectural heritage. Our adventure continues at the Arte Campo Museum, where we will experience Santa Cruz de la Sierra's rich artisan tradition through various fabric samples and artifacts from local ethnic groups.
We will conclude our tour by departing from the final museum at approximately 12 noon.
