At 8 am, pick up from your hotel will commence, heading first to the National Palace, the official residence of the Haitian President. There, you'll observe the devastation caused by the earthquake on January 12, 2010, which destroyed the palace. Historical context about the 18th-century building, including its prior reconstruction in the 20th century, will be provided.
The tour continues at Champs de Mars park and Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral, followed by a visit to the Iron Market, where various goods, including home gadgets and Vudu figures, can be found. Vudu is a significant religion in Haiti.
Next, visit the Barbancourt Rum Distillery to learn about the production of the island's traditional rum, recognized as one of the top five rums globally.
The tour concludes with a meal at the L'Observatoire restaurant, where you will enjoy a traditional Haitian dish, including a main, dessert, and a drink. After the meal, return to your hotel by 3 pm.
