Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tour

On this tour of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary from Port of Spain, we will visit Trinidad and Tobago's largest mangrove, home to various wildlife species.

Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tour

You will be picked up from your selected hotel in Port of Spain and transported to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. We will explore the native flora and fauna of Trinidad and Tobago.

At the Caroni Bird Sanctuary, we will board a boat to explore the area, observing wildlife. Our knowledgeable guide will explain why animals are more active in the late afternoon and share other relevant insights.

We will try to spot the elusive scarlett ibis during the tour. If seen, we can admire its movements. This bird is one of the national birds of Trinidad and Tobago.

Keep an eye out for other animals in the treetops and on the forest floor, as our guide helps identify various species. We will also learn about the habitats of animals such as alligators, anteaters, owls, and snakes.

After approximately 2 hours of exploration, we will return to the hotel in Port of Spain, concluding our experience.
