Lopinot Day Trip

Do you want to visit the most fascinating region of Trinidad and Tobago? If you're in Port of Spain, don't miss this day trip to Lopinot, a village full of culture, music, chocolate, nature and enigmatic legends.

Description

After picking you up from your hotel, we'll leave Port of Spain and head to Lopinot, located in the north of Trinidad and Tobago. This area reflects a blend of French and Caribbean cultures.

Our first stop will be the Count of Lopinot's prison, where we will learn about its history and visit the cocoa plantations. Participants will discover the significance of the special dance performed for cocoa and enjoy parang music.

Next, we will visit the chocolate factory known for producing one of the purest cocoa chocolates on the island. Here, we will observe the production process and partake in a chocolate tasting.

Following that, we will go to Sr. Cyril Cooper's farm, home to another cocoa and coffee plantation and the longest-living tree of Lopinot, which is over 100 years old.

Lastly, we will explore the heart-shaped Martin Gomez cave, observing its resident bats, birds , and insects, and learn about local legends regarding its paranormal activity. We will return to your hotel in Port of Spain after a total of 6 hours.
