Temple in the Sea at Waterloo + La Brea Lake Excursion

On this trip from Port of Spain, we'll visit the Temple in the Sea at Waterloo and La Brea Lake, two significant tourist attractions in Trinidad & Tobago.

Description

We will collect you from your chosen hotel in Port of Spain at the scheduled time to begin our journey south. After an hour-long journey to San Fernando, we will continue for another 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) to reach La Brea Lake, also known as Pitch Lake.

La Brea is a natural asphalt deposit with a depth of almost 80 meters (262 ft) that supports various wildlife.

Next, we will travel to Carapichaima to visit the Temple in the Sea at Waterloo, a Hindu sanctuary dedicated to several deities. We will discuss the history of its construction in Trinidad & Tobago.

Nearby, we will see the statue of Lord Hanuman, the largest Hindu statue outside of India. We will explore the significance of its unique shape and its presence on a Caribbean island.

The excursion will conclude after 8 hours, returning you to your hotels in Port of Spain.
