On this cruise tour from Portimão, you'll visit the Benagil Caves, the most famous sea grottos in the Algarve, and enjoy a barbecue on the beach.

Benagil Caves Cruise + BBQ

At 10 am, we'll set sail from the Vasco da Gama dock in Portimão to the Benagil Caves.

During this sea adventure in southern Portugal aboard the catamaran Ophelia, we'll sail off the coast of Ferragudo, viewing Praia Grande and the Fort of São João along the coastline. After these sights, we'll continue along the coast of Almar Seco and dock in front of the Benagil Caves, where you'll have the opportunity to explore using small boats provided for you.

We'll then disembark in one of the coves in Benagil. While the crew prepares lunch on the beach, you'll have free time to swim and paddle surf. The lunch includes grilled meats, bread, traditional Algarve salad, and seasonal fruit, along with an open bar offering white or red wine, orange soda, or mineral water.

After lunch, we'll return to the boat and head back to Portimão, arriving at the departure dock by 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

In case of adverse weather conditions, the maritime police may prohibit access to the Benagil Cave. In such instances, you'll have more time for swimming, aquatic sports, and the barbecue on the beach.
