On this cruise tour from Portimão, you'll visit the Benagil Caves, the most famous sea grottos in the Algarve, and enjoy a barbecue on the beach.

Benagil Caves Cruise + BBQ

At 10 am, we will set sail from the Vasco da Gama dock in Portimão to the Benagil Caves. During this sea adventure on the catamaran Ophelia, we will sail off the coast of Ferragudo. Along the coastline, we will see Praia Grande and the Fort of São João, a castle overlooking the Atlantic.

After these sights, we'll continue along the coast of Algar Seco and dock in front of the Benagil Caves, which you can explore with small boats provided. We will disembark in one of the coves in Benagil, where the crew will prepare lunch on the beach. You will have some free time for swimming and paddle surfing. The menu includes a barbecue of different grilled meats, bread, traditional Algarve salad, and seasonal fruit. An open bar will be available with white or red wine, orange soda, or mineral water.

After lunch, we will return to the boat and head back to Portimão, arriving at the departure dock at 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

In the event of adverse weather conditions, maritime police may prohibit access to the Benagil Cave. If this occurs, you will have more free time for swimming, water sports, and the beach barbecue.
