On this cruise tour from Portimão, you'll visit the Benagil Caves, the most famous sea grottos in the Algarve and enjoy a barbecue on the beach.

Benagil Caves Cruise + BBQ

At 10 am, we'll set sail from the Vasco da Gama dock in Portimão to the Benagil Caves. Aboard the catamaran Ophelia, we'll sail off the coast of Ferragudo, viewing Praia Grande and the Fort of São João, a castle along the Atlantic. After these sightings, we'll continue along the coast of Alagr Seco and dock in front of the Benagil Caves, where you can explore at your leisure using the small boats provided.

We will disembark in a cove in Benagil. While lunch is prepared on the beach, you'll have free time for swimming and paddle surfing. The menu features a barbecue of various grilled meats, bread, traditional Algarve salad, and seasonal fruit. An open bar will offer white or red wine, orange soda, or mineral water. After lunch, we'll return to the boat and head back to Portimão, arriving at the departure dock at 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

In adverse weather conditions, the maritime police may prohibit access to the Benagil Cave. If this occurs, you'll have more free time for swimming, aquatic sports, and the barbecue on the beach.
