Sagres, Cape St. Vincent & Silves Trip
After picking you up from your hotel between 8:30 am and 9 am, we'll embark on a route through the Algarve.
First, we'll stop in the town of Silves to see its Arab castle, considered the best preserved in the country, followed by a visit to the gothic cathedral built on the site of an old mosque.
Our journey continues through the Serra de Monchique mountain range, where we will ascend to Foiá for panoramic views of the landscape and the Atlantic Ocean.
We'll then stop in Marmelete for a traditional lunch. After lunch, we'll visit the beaches of Costa Vicentina to enjoy stunning views and take pictures of the cliffs.
Next, we will visit Cape St. Vincent, a 75-meter promontory home to a lighthouse and an old fort, marking the southwesternmost point of Europe. We will then pass through the fishing village of Sagres, which features a large fortress built in the 15th century.
Finally, we will return to your hotel, arriving around 4 pm.
