Sagres, Cape St. Vincent & Silves Trip
After picking you up from your hotel between 8:30 am and 9 am, we'll embark on a route through picturesque areas of the Algarve.
First, we'll stop in the town of Silves to see its imposing Arab castle, the best preserved in Portugal. Then we'll head to the cathedral, a gothic temple built on the site of an old mosque.
We'll continue through the Serra de Monchique, featuring green slopes with cork trees and eucalyptus. We'll ascend to the highest point, Foiá, for panoramic views of the landscape and the Atlantic Ocean.
Afterward, we'll visit the parish of Marmelete for a traditional lunch. With our stomachs satiated, we’ll move to the beautiful beaches of the Costa Vicentina for breathtaking views and photo opportunities of colossal cliffs.
Next stop is the historic Cape St. Vincent, a 75-meter promontory with a lighthouse and an old fort, marking the southwesternmost point of Europe. After visiting this landmark, we'll pass through the fishing village of Sagres, home to a strategic fortress built in the 15th century.
Finally, we'll start our return journey to your hotel, arriving around 4 pm.
