Porto Alegre Guided Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet at Praça XV de Novembro to start a walking tour through the historic center of Porto Alegre. During our guided tour, we'll delve into the history of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and visit some of its most emblematic places.

Before we set off into the city, we'll pause to look at the kiosk in the square, one of the oldest buildings in Porto Alegre, built in 1885. We'll discuss its history and renovations over the years.

Next, we'll visit the public market, where we will experience the daily life of Porto Alegre. The market building, originating from the 19th century, hosts many traditional stalls and a wide variety of Brazilian products.

We'll continue by admiring the exterior of the Municipal Palace, a key monument in the city. Nearby is the Esquina Democrática (Democratic Corner), a historical landmark where discussions about the city's dark events will take place.

The tour will conclude at 11:30 am in Praça Alfândega.
