Porto Alegre Guided Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet at Praça XV de Novembro to start a walking tour through the historic center of Porto Alegre. During this guided tour, we'll explore the history of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and visit several of its significant locations.

Before commencing the tour, we'll observe the kiosk in the square, one of the oldest buildings in Porto Alegre, built in 1885 and recognized as Historical Heritage. We will discuss its various functions and renovations over the years.

Next, we’ll visit the public market, where we will experience the daily life of Porto Alegre. The market building dates back to the 19th century, featuring many traditional stalls and assorted Brazilian products.

The tour continues as we admire the exterior of the Municipal Palace, an important monument. Nearby, we will reach Esquina Democrática (Democratic Corner), where we will discuss some of the city's darker histories and mysterious events.

The tour concludes at 11:30 am in Praça Alfândega.
