12 Day Tour of Tocantins

Day 1: Palmas

After hotel or airport pickup, enjoy lunch or dinner. Then, check into the hotel for the first night.

Day 2: Palmas - Puente Alto de Tocantins

Start with breakfast, then depart for Puente Alto de Tocantins. Visit Sussuapara Canyon in Jalapao State Park, swim under a 16-foot waterfall, and enjoy lunch at the hotel. Witness the sunset at Pedra Furada, followed by dinner and rest at the lodge.

Day 3: Puente Alto de Tocantis - Mateiros

After breakfast, visit Lajeiro waterfall and Old Falls. Enjoy a dip at the New River beach, have lunch, and conclude with a sunset boat ride. Dinner and overnight in Mateiros follow.

Day 4: Jalapão Park - Mateiros

Visit the fervedouros pools, learning about the turquoise water wells and the confluence of the Sono and Formiga rivers. Lunch in Quilombo community, then visit Jalapão dunes. Dinner and overnight in Mateiros.

Day 5: Mateiros - Palmas

Breakfast in Plata, then return to Palmas. Observe the Cerrado ecoregion, lunch on the trip, and check into the hotel in Palmas for dinner.

Day 6: Palmas

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Palmas, visiting Sunflower Square and Coluna Prestes Memorial. Dinner back at the hotel.

Day 7: Palmas - Caseara

Breakfast, then travel to Cantão Park to explore the ecosystem. Overnight at Caseara Inn with dinner.

Day 8: Caseara - Cantão Park

Breakfast followed by a safety briefing. Choose between hiking, cycling, or a boat ride in Cantão Park. Lunch and dinner back in Caseara.

Day 9: Caseara - Lagoa da Confusão

Leave for Lagoa da Confusão. Lunch on Bananal Island and photo safari to see local wildlife. Dinner and overnight in Lagoa da Confusão.

Day 10: Lagoa da Confusão

Tour Lagoa da Confusão, visiting churches and squares, with a boat ride and swimming opportunity. Dinner and rest at the lodge.

Day 11: Lagoa da Confusão - Bananal Island - Palmas

Explore Amazon, Ipucas forests, and Cerrado ecoregions. Return to Palmas hotel for dinner.

Day 12: Palmas

Breakfast and transfer to Palmas airport to conclude your tour.
