Bananal Island and Cantao Park 3-Day Trip

Day 1

After being picked up from Palmas airport, we will begin a three and a half hour journey to Lagoa da Confusão, where we will have lunch and learn about the upcoming photo safari. This safari will focus on the wildlife of the region and reveal the three Brazilian biomes: the Amazon rainforest, Ipucas forests, and Cerrado. Following this, we will travel for an hour to the Javaés River to observe more wildlife and view Bananal, known as the largest river island in the world. We will return to Lagoa da Confusão for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will embark on a trip around Lagoa da Confusão, where you may enjoy a swim. We will then take a two and a half hour journey to Caseara, located in Cantão Park. Once there, we will have lunch and enjoy a sunset boat ride on the Araguaia River, taking in its beaches and islands, including Bananal Island. We will return to Caseara for dinner and spend the night.

Day 3

We will start early for breakfast before heading into Cantão Park to experience the sunrise. A guided exploration will follow, either on foot or by boat, depending on the time of year, leading to the park's headquarters for insights into this ecosystem. Following lunch at the lodge, we will drive back to Palmas, arriving at your hotel or the airport around 5:30 pm.
