Bananal Island and Cantao Park 3-Day Trip

Day 1

After pickup from your hotel at Palmas airport, we will embark on a three and a half hour journey to Lagoa da Confusão. We will enjoy lunch and learn about the upcoming photo safari. This safari will involve searching for local wildlife across the three biomes: the Amazon, the forests of Ipucas, and the Cerrado, a tropical savannah. We will then travel an hour to the Javaés River to view more wildlife and see Bananal, the largest river island in the world. We will return to Lagoa da Confusão for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will explore the waters of Lagoa da Confusão, with the option for a refreshing swim. A two and a half hour road trip will take us to Caseara in the heart of Cantão Park. After lunch, we will enjoy a sunset boat ride on the Araguaia River, admiring the beaches and islands, including Bananal Island. We will return to Caseara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

We will start the day early with breakfast and head into Cantão Park to observe the sunrise. Depending on the season, we will explore the park on foot or by boat and visit the park's headquarters to learn about its ecosystem. After lunch at the lodge, we will drive back to Palmas, arriving at your hotel or the airport by approximately 5:30 pm.
