Bananal Island and Cantão Park 5 Day Trip

Day 1

Pickup at 8 am from your hotel or Palmas airport for a three-hour drive to Caseara. After a traditional lunch, proceed to the Araguaia region to see exotic wildlife. Enjoy a boat trip on the Araguaia River, home to the world's largest river island, Bananal Island. End the day in Caseara with dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, sail into Cantão Park. Disembark at the lake's mouth for a 4-mile trek followed by lunch. Continue exploring Cantão Park and the northern zone of the Araguaia River, learning about a nearby riverside community. Return to Caseara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Early breakfast before heading into Cantão Park to see the landscapes at dawn. Depending on the season, explore the park on foot or by boat, observing various exotic birds. Enjoy a boat trip through the channels and lakes of Cantão, then return to Caseara for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

After breakfast, travel for nearly three hours to Lagoa da Confusão and board a boat on the lagoon. After lunch at the hotel, embark on a photo safari to spot exotic species. Return to Lagoa da Confusão for overnight accommodation.

Day 5

After breakfast, depart Lagoa da Confusão for Bananal Island, crossing the Javáes River. Enjoy lunch and then head back to Palmas, arriving at your hotel or the airport around 5:30 pm.
