If you are in Porto Seguro and want to see other places in the state of Bahia, be sure to join us on this boat trip on the João de Tiba River. Incredible landscapes await us!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Porto Seguro and head to Vila de Santo André, where we'll take a boat trip on the João de Tiba River. This river, located on the border between the states of Bahia and Minas Gerais, is also known as the Santa Cruz River.
When we arrive at the embarkation point, we'll board the boat to navigate the João de Tiba River until its confluence with the Mutum River. At this point, we'll turn off the boat's engines, as the channel through which we'll pass is a narrow natural tunnel formed by native trees.
After crossing this stretch, we'll reach a spot where we'll see an orchard with houses built on the banks of the João de Tiba River by local families. We'll disembark to meet the locals and pick seasonal fruits and learn about typical foods and plants used for natural remedies of this native community. Afterwards, we'll listen to some interesting facts about the history of the river. If you want, you can also do some horseriding.
Finally, we'll get back on the boat to return to Santo André. From there, we'll return to your hotel in Porto Seguro. Arrival is scheduled 8 hours after pickup.
