Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Porto Seguro at the scheduled time, setting off for an engaging exploration of the Pataxó da Jaqueira Reserve.
This indigenous territory, situated merely 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from Porto Seguro, is home to the Pataxó people, who have preserved their ancestral lifestyle and deep connection with the environment over generations. As we approach our destination, we'll delve into the rich history of the Pataxó Indigenous Peoples, who inhabit various regions in Bahia and Minas Gerais.
Upon reaching the Pataxó da Jaqueira, community members will greet us, adorned in traditional attire and vibrant decorations—their eye-catching headdresses will surely capture your interest! Once we step inside the reserve, you'll have the opportunity to learn about local traditions including dance, games, ceremonies, and the unique Patxohã language.
Following this enriching cultural experience, we will head back to your hotel in Porto Seguro, concluding our excursion approximately 3 hours later.
